  1. when you strip off the bush honey suckle berries, be sure to take them away. If you leave them on the soil, they will germinate and spread this noxious plant.


    • Yes! I typically cut off the berry-laden branches and haul them off to a brush pile that I burn because I live in the country. I also then cut off the trunk and treat the stump, leaving the roots in the ground to reduce soil erosion as I live on a hillside. Ideally the honeysuckle should be removed before they produce berries, but we live in a less than ideal world, no?
