when you strip off the bush honey suckle berries, be sure to take them away. If you leave them on the soil, they will germinate and spread this noxious plant.
Yes! I typically cut off the berry-laden branches and haul them off to a brush pile that I burn because I live in the country. I also then cut off the trunk and treat the stump, leaving the roots in the ground to reduce soil erosion as I live on a hillside. Ideally the honeysuckle should be removed before they produce berries, but we live in a less than ideal world, no?
