Turtles have been on the move, too, and birds are sometimes taking risks with fast moving cars. I was so sorry to hit an eastern kingbird that swooped into my path.

Thanks, Evelyn. This time of year is so full of life that it’s hard not to run into it! I’ve had some really close calls with birds of late as well, with some of them seeming to be about territorial issues while others seem to be the mating games, both of which can be distracting to the parties involved.

I’ve had some really close calls with birds of late as well, with some of them seeming to be about territorial issues while others seem to be the mating games, both of which can be distracting to the parties involved.
